SabNZB 2.3.3 drops to 1/8th speed after 5 seconds

Post by sidekick2 »

I normally download at ~90-100MB/Sec w/2.3.2 and after the installation of 2.3.3, the first 5-10 seconds speeds ramp up to normal, and then drops to 13 MB/sec, and holds there. I've reinstalled twice, and rolled back to 2.3.2 to get back my 100MB/sec speeds. I've gone thru the settings looking for what might be holding it back, increased article cache to 4G, but something goes drastically wrong after running for a few seconds.

I have 2 Usenet sources active, 60 threads & 20 threads, gigabit service.

Right now, I'm sticking with 2.3.2.

<Edit> Windows 10 64Bit

What is the CPU usage when it's slow and how many cpu cores do you have?

Could you give this modified version of 2.3.3 a try?

Trying to pinpoint if it's the C-code or the Python part that's giving you problems.

I have an I7-4930k, 6 cores / 12 HyperThreaded running at 3.40Ghz. That version above works. CPU is at 17-20% while running. Just downloaded some 50G without issue.

Could you try some more for me? This way I can identify where it went wrong:
Test1: https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabbuild/rel ... -setup.exe
Test2: https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabbuild/rel ... -setup.exe

Okay, this sucks. I can't reproduce the issue now. I've installed test1, test2, and went back to the released 2.3.3 trying to get a fail. I don't know if it's a fluke or not, but Test1 seems to be riding ~5MByte/sec faster. What's changed on my side, is my 2nd provider usenet sub has expired, so I only have 60 threads. I've downloaded ~200G, dling garbage going back and forth between releases.

I'm going to re-install the released 2.3.3, and let that sit for a few days, and see if it pops up again.

I appreciate your effort, but I'm at a loss right now to explain why I can't get a fail.

Thanks!
