Having two servers is SLOW

Post by saintnick »

I have two paid usenet servers. My downloads were painfully slow (kb/s). I disabled the slowest and suddenly throughput went up to normal (mb/s). How come?
Synology DS216+. DSM 7 latest.

If a server has missing articles, or is very slow, with a high prio, it will slow down the overall download process. Reason: SAB will check that server, wait, get a NO, and proceed, and that over and over.

BUT ... that does not explain kB/s instead MB/s. So ... maybe a DSM7 problem? I read all kinds of strange problem with DSM7.
