Weird thing with speeds

Hi all,

I'm noticing a weird thing with the speeds in Sab. It's saying that it's downloading at around 5 MB/s but watching the status it is much slower than that. It will download maybe 1 MB/s according to the progress bar.

Other times it says around 200KB/s which seems way too slow. This is a fairly recent thing, but I can't put my finger on anything that's changed. Running 1.0.3

At the start of the post, the speedometer is off.
This is due to the postponing of par2 files.
The rest I don't know.
Release 1.1.0 will have quite some speed tweaks.

Once I deleted my speed limit scheduling. It started working properly. But it still won't work after I reenable the speed limit scheduling.

How did you setup your speed schedule?

What does 700 or 500 mean? You need to set it in K/M/G notation. So 5M would be 5 megabytes/second.

@safihre, just a thought, but you should probably add a note that says K/M/G is required when people select Speedlimit from the dropdown.

This is what worked before I upgraded, but I did need to change it from 700 to 700K to get it to work.

That's right, it something that changed between 0.7.20 and 1.0.0
From the release notes:
Breaking change in API: speed-limit is now either a percentage or an absolute number

0-100 or anything with a '%' is a percentage
Absolute numbers no longer have an implicit "k"
Check third-party tools that set a speed for SABnzbd
Reading that back, it's not very clear that it also affects the Scheduler, but it does.
