1.2.0 Interface Options (Compact and Tabbed)

Post by hl2guide »

For the default theme, under "status and interface options" the "Compact Layout" and "Tabbed Layout" options are forgotten between logins, once applied.

They are not forgotten in the browsers I tested, they are saved in localstorage.
Maybe you clear this or some browser plugins clear it?

Hmm... it'd be nice to have overrides in the app's INI file for these 2 settings.

We opted to keep those Glitter specific things out of the INI.

Everything below the grey line in the window is not stored in the INI.
That's not very intuitive I know...

The interface config seem to be forgotten in Firefox even when I just close the tab and open SABnzbd in a new one, possibly because it's running on localhost. It would be very nice if it was possible to set this on the server side.

That's then probably because you clear cookies and localStorage due to a plugin like Goostify.

Since Glitter is the default UI, would it be possible to incorporate these settings into the ini file?

It would be nice to have the ability to permanently set the 'Compact layout,' and 'tabbed layout' options.

These are not in the ini because people can access sabnzbd from different devices. So for example on your desktop you want one style, on the phone screen another one.

If that's the case, people can disable it if they don't like it on their phones, can't they?

Having it enabled seems to look better on my phone (Android 10 device).

Please do consider adding those two options to the ini as well, or at least make it so that those of us who want it can manually enable it to be permanent (if possible).

Thank you!
