Unpacking downloads hanging at 01/xxx, unable to abort

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with SABnzbd where the files that are downloaded are processed for unpacking, where they hang at "01/xxx" indefinitely until the service is restarted. I am unable to abort the unpack as well.

I am running v2.0.0Alpha1 on a Windows 7 Pro x64 machine.

The service is setup to run as the logged in Windows user (so there is not any apparent permissions issues with the download and extract directories).

I am able to extract manually from the Incomplete folder using WinRAR 5.40 x64 (could having WinRAR installed be causing the issue?)

Any ideas?

First can you try a quick download where you don't run sabnzbd as a service, does it work then?

What is the name of the download?

It was affecting all downloads.

It does not appear to occur when ran outside of the service, which is unfortunate as that will require the system to login to run SAB following reboots for OS patches.

Oke so then can you switch in the status window the logging to Debug?
And then make it fail again and see what the log says.
Somewhere it should show the line where it calls the unrar command. Maybe something is wrong there.

It's stuck right now, but it hasn't put anything in any of the log files that I am aware of.

I have noticed that if I manually kill the unrar.exe process from Task Manager, SAB re-calls the executable to process the files and it progresses as expected with no hiccups.

Oke, do that next time. Kill the process. This will write to the log whatever Unrar outputted so far.
Can you maybe post the calling of the unrar and that output?
You must first switch logging to Debug!

This log is from SAB running as a Windows Service which is running under the currently logged in user (specified in the Services' "Log on" tab).

I have installed it, but it appears that there may be an issue with the newsgroup connection code as the downloads are now hanging on the initial connection:

Ignore previous post... issue was with provider, not SAB.

The new version appears to be processing/unpacking files without hanging on 01/xxx.
