Install Flags and Not Aborting w/missing blocks

Post by ncfitzge »

Hey, I have notice two issues:

1. I used to be able to use the FORCE_MANUAL_INSTALL flag in the log directory to update to the latest version. Since 2.0.0, I haven't been able to use that anymore.

2. I have SAB set to do pre-check, it notices there are a lot of missing blocks but continues to download it even though I have it marked to abort download.

The flag is not from sabnzbd, but the package or installation you use for sabnzbd. Sabnzbd doesn't provide update mechanisms.
Should report that to the package source/maintainer.

Are you able to set your package to use 2.0.1Rc1? Maybe it fixes your precheck problem.
On vacation now so can't dig into the logs you posted, unfortunately. Will try to take a look when I get back!

Yes, I was able to install 2.0.1RC1 and it is not aborting. It was missing over 200 pieces and still went on to download. Double checked the settings and it still setup to abort.

I've been doing some testing. And it does not look like it is trying to do par2 is working. It goes straight to unrar check and once that fails it kicks in the user scripts.

If I run par2repair on its own, it fixes it and then I can unrar successfully.

I noticed under Settings-->Switches-->Post processing -- I have no option to enable 'Enable MultiCore par2' like it has on the wiki, just an option to download all par2 and extra par2 parameters.
I do have allow_64bit_tools checked in Special
Also the sabnzbdplus.ini still has par2_multicore = 0

Re: Install Flags and Not Aborting w/missing blocks

Post by safihre »

We would need to see the part of the log that does the par2 (need to enable Debug logging to see that).
The precheck is less sensitive than the actual download, but you see also during the actual download that it doesn't Abort?
The number of articles actually doesn't say a lot. Because articles can be anywhere between 32kb and 800kb. Internally Sab knows that, and it will only Abort if the actual number of bytes of the repair set is lower than the number of missing bytes.
