Fatal error - BSOD

Post by iaing80 »

Hi,

I appear to be having issues with the current version of SABnzb since the Fall addition of Windows Ten (not blaming SABnzb, i'm just more likely to get a fix than contacting Microsoft!).

Currently it blue screens after couple of minutes once I sign in. On the rare occasion that doesn't happen and I load SABnzb I get:

Fatal Error issue (sabnzbd.ini" is not a valid...) which I have seen older posts discuss but no fix found.

I had first assumed I had a corrupted user profile, so I removed it and started again, a day later and it started again.
Then I assumed the corruption of disk more than just the profile, so ran repairs and scans, all of which came back clean.

I will attempt to provide logs and system details, once it stops BSOD..

However I was wondering if any one had see anything similar?

That sounds more like bad memory. Are you able to search for the error code Windows provides?
Probably you see it with Sab because it uses lots of cpu and memory.

Hi,

Only events events I am showing errors are for service time out and bug check:

Bug Check :

Unexpected provider failure. Restarting the service may fix the problem. Error code: 80004005@02000014

Service Time outs:

The ScannerService service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the ScannerService service to connect.

The NzbDrone service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the NzbDrone service to connect.

iLO and system not showing any memory faults.

Running Microsoft Windows 10 Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.64)
6 gb of RAM installed 5.84 available.

It a HP microserver GEN 8. Being running fine without issue till the OS update.

Currently hunting down a spare drive so I can rebuild the OS on a clean disk and see if the issue is resolved.
