I found the problem. We didn't run the RAR-detection tool if there was par2 present.
The job you shared had par2 that didn't fix the obfuscation, which is normally the case. It was a bit naive of us to think that par2 would always fix things.
So I changed it now that the RAR-detection is always performed if no RAR-files are present in the download.
Will probably be part of 3.2.1. If you want a test-build, we can share it.

got another one. sent the nzb via wetransfer to safihre's email address.

the nzb has all the file names in the header, still, all files are downloaded obfuscated. what do I need to do? or even better, how do I get the 500+ GB downloaded files to be reprocessed and renamed properly from the nzb?

looks about right. does every possible file name and place connotation have to have its regex? sounds tedious lol

what about my 500GB download? is there a way I can have sabnzbd have a go at it and rename the obf names or do I need to download it all again to get it done?

oh and when do you think the win download will be avail for 3.3.1?

I'm still on 3.2x. For whatever reason I thought sabnzbd was auto updating (like hydra). So I have to manually check for updates every week or so?

Unfortunately, we won't be able to fix the download automatically anymore. That information is lost..
But, you could check inside the NZB. Find the filename you currently have. It should show up next to the "real filename".

it's ok, I'll just redownload it. it's 200+ files and I'm lazy :-)

scrolled down. downloaded windows installer. said 3.3.0 RC2. installed anyway, sabnzbd tells me there’s a newer version 3.3.0, which I had installed.
