I found the line
sabnzbd.LINUXTRAY = sabnzbd.sabtraylinux.StatusIcon()
and commented it out. I also found the special settings page and switched off win_menu. I left SAB running while I searched for something to download. That took me about 5 minutes and it didn't crash. It's downloading the 9.2 GB file now, and has been for about 20 minutes. Hasn't crashed yet. It's saying the file should be done in about 90 minutes. I'll let you know what happened.
Thanks

Re: SABnzbd 3.0.0 crashes frequently in Kubuntu 20.04
Hi delboy,
With an updated Kubuntu, I cannot reproduce the crash anymore. So can you verify / confirm, and do this:
Update Kubuntu like this:
Then reboot Kubuntu
Update SABnzbd ... do you use the PPA? If not, or too complex for you: remove sabnzbdplus, and re-install sabnzbdplus (you will get the old, but original, non-patched version)
So "sabnzbd.LINUXTRAY = sabnzbd.sabtraylinux.StatusIcon()" should be in place again. Can you verify that?
Restart sabnzbd. Turn win_menu on again via http://127.0.0.1:8080/config/special/#win_menu
Start using SABnzbd again ... crash or no crash?
