3.4.0 final build won't run on older MacOS systems (Sierra, 10.12.6)

Post by HorseCalledHorse »

Currently running 3..4.0RC1 without issues, but the build for the MacOS app of 3.4.0 final is now incompatible with older operating systems. I'm running Sierra, 10.12.6 and can't run the app, which has been built to require 10.13 or later.

Guessing and hoping this is a mistake, as 3.4.0RC1 has no issues. All other builds have worked for 10.9 and up.

Yeah it's probably the M1 changes in PyInstaller. Will try to fix.

Can you follow the analysis in viewtopic.php?p=125710#p125710 resp viewtopic.php?p=125712#p125712 ?
It won't run. The application icon shows this when you open the .dmg, and here's the message it throws up if you try to run it:

Weirdly enough, this same issue popped up way back with 2.3.6 beta1: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=23864

Same issue. Won't launch, with exactly the same message.
