"Idle" after pausing and unpausing que

If you are downloading a few things, then pause them all and then un-pause them, it wont start downloading again, it just sits as idle until sab is restarted. Also occurs if the one un-paused item finishs, leaving you with a que full of paused nzb's.

Using 0.5.3 RC1 with smpl, but it has been an existing problem for a long time.

Operating sytem?
Are you individually pausing items?
The general pause button has no influence on that.
You'll need to tell more details for us to say anything useful about this.

You can pause and unpause jobs individually.
The general pause button just starts and stops the downloader.
If you pause all jobs individually, doing a general resume does nothing.
You still need to resume each job individually.

I am pausing and unpausing the individual item, if this happens, i have to add a new nzb to get the que going again. otherwise it never starts,,

Yes, known issue.
It's also very hard to reproduce, we're still looking for the cause.

Well let me know if there is anything I can do as it happens to me every time without fail. Thanks for your response.

A repeatable scenario would be great.
I know it happens, I saw it twice myself.
The problem is, it's impossible to diagnose after it occurs.
I need a scenario that leads to the problem, so that I can
trace the code with the debugger.

It always happens when you end up having 1 nzb left that is individually paused. It doesn't matter if you pause it with other nzb's active and try to restart it when its by itself or if u download 1 nzb and start and stop it individually.

Unfortunately it isn't "always".
At least not when I try it...

Hum, is with me. Perhaps it is to do with the servers. It seems when I click the pause it doesn't immediately stop the downloads and a few transfers seem to almost time out, where the speed slowly decreases. I have 6 servers, 3 optional (two of which are ipv6), 2 normal and 1 backup.  I also have the issue that the optional servers are always used even when the normal servers have all the files.

I also suffer from the same problem.

Sabnzbd 0.5.4
Windows Visgs x64
1 news server

Only got one download in queue, but have seen it with more. I pause the individual item and then unpause. Download remains idle. Only way to force it to continue is to restart Sabnzbd. This occurs consistently every time.

I have schedules set up that pause and unpause to ensure download occurs out of peak times. The problem occurs whether the queue pause is on or off, if main queue is paused the download does not resume after being unpaused.

Please let me know if you want more info, log or would like be to run any tests.

Just thought I would chime in here, as I had a similar issue.

I had several items in my queue and I ran out of space on my network drive.  Two unpacks failed and the downloads paused.  After clearing up more than enough space, the items would not unpause through usual means.  I restarted the server to no avail.  I added another NZB, which started downloading as usual, but the old queue items would not unpause.  Choosing 'Force' from the edit dropdown got them started again and everything seems fine now.

SABnzbd Version: 0.5.4 | smpl Version: 1.3
Windows 7 Home Premium
Chrome 7.0.517.44

0.5.5 should solve this issue.
