No nzb backup, unless nzb from dirscan folder

Post by Delirium »

Imho this is a bug; When an nzb is loaded via 'Add URL' or 'Add File' no nzb backup is made ???. Only when a file is loaded from the dirscan folder it is backupped.

It's not a bug.
The reason SAbnzbd makes a backup for dirscan is that it actually deletes the file from the dirscan dir.
In other situations, the NZB is not lost.

perhaps this comes down to a difference in opinions but I think that the nzb backup folder should contain the backups of all nzb's not just dirscanned nzb's.

The explanation (default ui) for the option is:
OPTIONAL: .nzb Backup Directory:
Specify a directory to backup .nzb files to.
it doesn't say anything about dirscanned nzb's
I shouldn't have to save the nzb and then add it if there also is the URL function.
Also SabNZBdStatus (the FF add-on) uses the URL function.

This is true.
I'll check what the other team members think about it.
It would be a fairly small change.
