Repair failed, not enough repair blocks

Post by Hollywoodtas »

Hello, I have not used the site for a while and I have had trouble with this error previously. The first download I did was successful but the next 6 failed. Can you assist. I have copied the sections of the page that show what was successful and what has failed. Can't see anywhere here where I can attach the 2 screen snaps.
Cheers

Failing jobs are a fact of life on Usenet.
Some posts are just defective and there are many DMCA takedowns.
However, if you have reason to believe a post is repairable and SABnzbd doesn't,
that would be a different matter.

Thank you for your reply shypike. It does say "Verified in 1 second, repair is required" but I am not knowledgeable enough about the SABnzbd to know how to do that. Any assistance you can give in that area would be appreciated. The downloads that have failed are normally a good source.
Does the source/provider of the NZB's make a difference when downloading? I would be happy to change if there was a better one.

Obscure providers are more reliable than mainstream ones.
You can try to do a manual repair using a program like QuickPar.
BTW: did you try 1.0.0RC2 ?
It works better for some types of odd posts.

Are you able to suggest a name of a provider? Am I allowed to name the one I am using?
I will give QuickPar a go thanks.
I did a bit of reading reading re the 1.0.0RC2 but I was not sure if it would suit Windows 10. I intended to read further. Is the install a replacement for the one I am using?
Thanks again for your help.
