par2 verfication at any time after downloading (Linux)

I'd like to be able to verify & repair downloads at any time after the download process is completed. This is especially useful for large downloads and slower PC's if you need to use it for something else for instance. Something like a "mini GUI" pop up like (next to) "Add NZB" or "Status and interface options" on the download page would seem convenient.

Note (alternatively): on Linux (Ubuntu 16.04) the very old GUI's gpar2 and pypar2 don't work well (gpar2 won't start and pypar2 can't handle -intentionally- misnamed files) so if anyone knows of an alternative GUI or script to easily address par2cmdline any help is appreciated.

Cheers

I don't think this is something we will implement in sabnzbd, it's an exotic use case.
On slower cpu's you can chose to only use Download for each download, and not +Repair. Alternatively, you can enable Nice on Config Switches, which will put the process as the lowest priority so you can continue to use the pc as usual.

That used to be possible with the obscure "Special" option "allow_streaming".
At the end of the download the job went as "failed" to the History and could be retried from there.
It looks like that feature was removed some time ago.
