Automatic Rename of Misnamed files

Post by exussum »

Hi,

as an option in Quickpar it automatically renames the misnamed files, Recently ive had a few downloads where the rars were misnamed, Was wondering if this could be built in to sabnzbd ?

Not now.
Unlike QuickPar, SABnzbd tries to distinguish between different rar/par sets.
We have some future plans to improve this,
but there's no easy solution without a significant performance overhead.

Were your recent downloads uploaded by U4ALL? They have : in their filenames which NTFS/FAT does not support.
I read this on nzbs.org so it may be wrong ( http://nzbs.org/forum.php?action=view&topic=5408 )

Does your answer also apply to this issue, shypike?

Release 0.5.6 contains a work-around for this issue.
(The problem was the fact that par2 and SABnzbd used different replacement characters for the colon.)

I am running 0.6a4 and the problem is also there - but I see the workaround in 0.6a7 so I am going to try that one
