Rush v1.0

Post by nekz »

Hi!

i'm working on a new template, its based on the Plush template. Bear in mind that this is a first version and a work in progress, so let me know if you find some errors or weird stuff :P

Looks very good, using it at the moment. No problems so far 8) .
Linux is like a wigwam: No windows. No gates. Apache inside.

I finally registered (after a year or two of using Sabnzbd and these forums) so I could thank you for your work on this. I've never been completely happy with any of the included UI's before, which is really the only complaint I've ever had about Sabnzbd. I was actually researching what was needed to try and create my own a few months ago. But after using Rush for about an hour, I'm finally satisfied. The style is even kind of what I was kicking around in my head for a design of my own. Great job. The only even slight "fix" you may want to implement is to link the "Sabnzbd" logo graphic in the top left to universally return to "Downloads." I'm noticing this when I'm on the "Status" page. Maybe it's just me, but I always just clicked the logo to link back to the Downloads instead of using the Back button or anything else.

Anyway, hopefully I've made it clear how important a UI I enjoy is to me. I do graphic design and UI/Webdesign and spend massive amounts of hours at my computer and Sabnzbd is always running and in an open window, so it (and its appearance) play a big part in my day.

Nice, thanks a lot.

I wonder how I install this on Ubuntu?

I tried coping the files to /usr/share/doc/sabnzbdplus-theme-rush but Rush never shows up on the config > general page even after a restart of sabnzbd.

A how to or faq should be added to http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/skins .

Really liking this template. Maybe they'll add it into a future release.

It's only a different styling of the existing Plush skin.
I've looked at it as an alternative "colorscheme" for Plush in 0.8.0.
But 0.8.0 will have a change in the top queue bar, which isn't supported by this schema.
I'll see what can be done.
Personally I find the fonts a bit too small.

Nice work! Fits MAC great. I agree with shypike though, the font could be a bit larger for my taste.
