I don't understand how you can have that... I have to dig more.
Could you please try to :
stop SABnzbdX
remove the plist
start SABnzbdX 1.2.1
go to preferences delete the localhost
add a host 192.168.0.20:1234
I've made the test and it worked...

That works! I think it has to do with deleting the localhost, then adding a new one for 192.168.0.20:1234. For some reason, if I just change the localhost's address, it doesn't work.

Yes, you are absolutely right ! But in 1.2. In 1.2.1, i've include a fix for that and it should work fine, I hope...
I've made some other changes but that will be for next release :
- when preferences panel is open, no more updates of the UI.

What features do you want to see in next release ?

Other than the option to see the time remaining of just the current item downloading like we discussed earlier, I can't really think of anything. This program's pretty much perfect already.

I'd like it if you could give a name to a SABnzbd+ host, so it's not referred to just by IP when you see growl alerts, or in the menu.

I'd love to see "Living Room Mac"  or "Seedbox" instead of raw IP addresses.

I've also couple ideas :

- check version of SABnzbd and notify by growl if a newer version is available (check once a week)
- a temporary pause (for 5,10,60 minutes)
- delete nzb on import or move it to a specified folder ?

Two more ideas. I don't know if anybody but me would appreciate this but hey...

Maybe add a checkbox for people without newzbin so that when you
open an nzb with your GUI it will ask the category...

Similar behavior for newzbin, if you select some raw files... it won't let you choose
a name for your nzb. those files (and folders) will be named "selected_files...".
How about having your app give an option to rename those ? Either with textbox
or by replacing "selected_files.." with the first filename in your nzb.

If you think this is too much - would one of the SAB authors do it ? ;-)

I think this one could be useful,  I can retrieve SABnzbd categories via API and ask when importing for host and category... but i think you will have to do that for every file. I have to dig that point.

Is it not simplier to rename files before double clicking on it  or maybe you open nzb directly from you browser ?

Yeah, I open them with SABTab. But like I said... I might be the only one whois is slightly annoyed.
It was just an idea anyway.

Excellent work, I am liking this so far. I do have one issue though, the only growl notifications I receive is when sabnzbd is downloading or idle. Shouldnt there be more messages such as: adding a new nzb to the queue and when a nzb has finished downloading/extracting.

Keep up the good work. :)

Hi xenios,

The growl notifications available are :

- Add a new nzb by opening with SABnzbdX (not when you add via webinterface)
- Status change between 2 refresh for each configured host
-> Not Started : if no response from SABnzbd
-> Idle : if no items in queue
-> Downloading : if items in queue
-> Paused : if API paused state is true

SABnzbdX doesn't "remember" what's in queue, each time a refresh is made, all queue items are reloaded.
In case of a completed download or if you manually remove an nzb via webinterface, i cannot make difference between.

Hope it helps to understand how it works.

Maybe like switch recommended in the iPhone thread, i'll check history rss... but that's not for now :)

Is SABnzbdX 10.5 only, or is it something wrong with my mac?

Couldn't find any place stating it is, but the trend nowadays is that people
develop for 10.5+ only because it easier than to include tiger support... :(

Hi thaylok,

Sorry but for now, it's only 10.5 (PPC & Intel), I'm trying to compile it for 10.4, but I have some troubles... Maybe one day it will work on 10.4.
