OK cool :D I'll keep my eye out. I set up something in the meantime that makes it a little bit easier. I set up category folders for SAB to watch, so if I download a nzb, then add it to the 'movies' folder, it automatically starts to download in the right category, so there's no need to go to the web page anymore :)

Hi all,
been trying to get to the website to download the latest version but it seems the entire website is down…
Is anyone else having any luck with it?

Does this app currently support SSL, or is there any plans to add SSL in the future, or is the source available somewhere so i can add SSL support myself?

I'd rather not allow non-SSL traffic through my firewall to the NAS hosting sabnzbd ideally!

Thanks :)

Hey Guys.

Just upgraded from 0.6.7 to 0.6.8 and i'm now missing the awesome menu status information bar in the menu bar for os x.

No in the support site/online documentation they say:

Special file Meaning
~/Library/Application Support/SABnzbd/notDisplayMenu Create this empty file to disable SABnzbd's icon in the status bar
~/Library/Application Support/SABnzbd/notDisplaySpeed Create this empty file to prevent the display of downloading speed next to SABnzbd's icon in the status bar

I've checked my folder ~/Library/Application Support/SABnzbd/ and there is no file there currently.

Any body got any suggestions?

Is it a .txt ile or an actual physical folder.

Please help.....

I think you're on OSX Lion and you downloaded the wrong SABnzbd version.
There's two now, one for Lion/SnowLeopard and one for older OSXses.

Is there any chance of getting Growl 1.3 support in SABnzbdX? I run SABnzbd+ on a Windows Home Server but monitor and maintain it almost exclusively from Macs or iOS devices. It's the main thing keeping me from upgrading to Growl 1.3, SABnzbdX + Growl is a really important part of this setup.

I've updated SABnzbdX to support Growl 1.3.

Enjoy

Feature request that could be brought over from the full SABnzbd: allow setting a pause interval in the menu, not just "Pause".

I've got plans for SABnzbdX but sadly not so much time to develop.

Wow, that was fast. Just upgraded to SABnzbdX 1.2.7 and Growl 1.3.1 to test, works perfectly.

Thanks! For the record this is a pretty invaluable tool. I don't know whether it needs more exposure or not, but it might be worth looking into revamping it for a Mac App Store release at 99c or $1.99. At least there is some motivation in that case, although obviously that doesn't mean much if your time is being absorbed by family matters and whatnot. Just thought I might throw it out there, I would definitely pay for a cleaned up 1.3/2.0 release in the MAS without thinking.

One issue with MAS are the new sandbox requirements.
Those will make things a whole lot more complicated.

I could be wrong but I thought using network connections was the common way to get around the sandboxing? That's how 1Password communicates between the browser extensions, 1Password Helper and the main app. I only suggested it because I figured that your app would already be within the sandboxing guidelines. Nothing jumps out at me as violating the rules I have seen, although I'm not a developer so I could easily be mistaken. Is there anything particular about the app that you figured would cause a problem?

Obviously SAB itself won't be making it into the App Store any time soon, but I don't see anything about SABnzbdX that should cause an issue.
