Transmission – A torrent download/P2P sharing tool

this will be intersting to see how it works via esx. Also this will save me the hassel from having to image and build my current rig via ancient arcane sneaker net methods described on the net. But as the previous poster noted you are still not off the hook for being pesterd.

Added a "Security" section to the original post:

Security

Reddit user 'deadbunny' pointed out that since everyone will have the same API keys, logins, passwords, etc. there is a potential security hole if the WEB UI ports are forwarded through your router's firewall. Please keep the ports closed until I provide How-to documentation for changing the various keys, authentication, ports, etc.

I found a last minute bug which was preventing services being added to the startup/shutdown runlevels. I've fixed this in v1.1.0.1, available tomorrow 6/25/2013.

This is great. Thanks for all the work. Is there going to be a way to update to your newer versions while preserving application settings? So that when you add headphones, etc we can upgrade without losing everything.
