SABCommand iPad/iPhone App (v2.2 APPROVED)

Hey guys, I'm currently developing an iPad app to interface with sabnzbd. I was using myNZB on the iPhone and decided that I was tired of the pixel-doubling :). I am looking for a few beta testers (about 5) who are willing to test a few versions of the app and give me serious feedback. I have added some cool features for this first version, but I will actively develop it more over time. Let me know if you are interested, beta testing will probably begin about next week.

APPLICATION CURRENT PUBLIC VERSION = 2.2

have been using mynzb on my iphone for some time..  and now on my ipad too.
I have the same complaints about 2x mode as well as other needed features.

I would be willing to beta test, but one question how do you beta testing work with apples app store.

Do i need to be using a PC with the SDK?  or can i beta test right on the ipad itself?

If you email me your UDID I can build a copy for you outside of the app store.

Here are some early screenshots. The interface will be a little snazzier on release. Still more to do.

Current Beta feature list:

*Can have 5 servers saved
*Add nzb to queue by copying url from any website
*Delete items from queue (swipe to delete)
*Restart server
*Pause Queue
*Resume Queue
*See server details (uptime, eta, load, MB left, etc)
*Mostly complete web browser
*Show warnings
*Show history

Awesome, can't wait.

While newzbin support is great, given its current state with not indexing new files, support for nzbmatrix, or the ability to search and retrieve nzbs for the usenet (condensed) view could be great.

It should work with any site that allows direct nzb link copying. For the ones that don't (which seems like several as of now), i am working on something that would allow those to work properly too. If i can get this working then the condensed view should work fine.

I know newzbin reports work great and nzbindex works pretty good too as of now

The first public release is now available for download:

Hi nomar,

Just wanted to request a few features... (I've emailed you the last few days and you've been great at getting right back!  Just wanted to put these suggestions out there in the public forum for all to see...

1.  HTTPS Support (You said you'd work on it)
2.  NZBMatrix Support (Again, you said there are things in the works)
3.  Some type of status bar at the bottom with the server details instead of the pop-over (i.e. speed, MB left, ETA, etc)
4.  Setting to limit the number of History items to show (I keep an unlimited history in SAB but it takes a very long time to show in NZBpad ... Would like to only show the last 50 or so history items in NZBpad)

Great start to the app and can't wait to see some updates!

Here is my current focus:

TO DO:

*Searching of various indexes via their own apis?
*Workaround for indexes that don't allow direct url copy
*Add bookmarks popover
*Delete individual items from history
*Add HTTPS support
*Multiple language support?
*Move add url to cut/copy/paste popover
*Space out buttons more
*Add option to disable alerts
*Add status bar for server details
*Limit amount of history shown

A few of these (like HTTPS) I hope to have ready for an update to submit to Apple by the end of the week. The rest I am actively working on and will come in future updates. The beta testers will testify to the fact that when I am on a feature roll, it goes quick (I think we had like 8 betas in a week or so haha). I develop this app as I have spare time, so please be patient with me :).

I am happy to respond to emails. If you send me an email I will usually get back to you pretty quick and your feature request/bug report/suggestion will get added to my list. I am working on getting redmine setup so you can submit bugs directly through a web interface.

Sounds like a great list!  Can't wait to see some updates!  Would be glad to beta test for you as well!
