First of all I just want to say great app!!! So far I'm loving it.

There are just a few questions I have.

When CP searches for a movie with a specific quality (720P) through an NZB site ( NZB Matrix ) where does it actually search? Does it search the whole Movies category, or does it go into sub categories like ( Movies: HD (x264) ) for 720p 1080p movies?

For example I am trying to download 720P movies that are NOT in x264 format, but are in Xvid.

My logic was to tell CP to ignore x264 formats, and only pickup other 720P files, which most of the time are in Xvid format.

However, this does not work. When I check the log it only finds x264, and ignores them all. Which makes me believe CP is only searching in the sub category ( Movies: HD (x264) )

Now I have made progress by searching for the quality BR-Rip, but again this does not work every time because some BR-Rips are not 720p and are down sampled to a lower resolution (480) and the file size is still larger than some BR-Rip 720P movies. This does not allow me to set the file size as you can see.

It would be nice if there was a 720P Xvid and 720p x264 quality search, or make it so CP Searches the whole movie category.

Brrips are 720p, those are what you want. 720p are prefered in de the searches. So please try it before concluding you are not gonna want brrips.
If it downloads in 480p when there is a 720p available, let me know.

Yes you are right it does grab the 720p instead of a lower resolution. Thanks for the info. However, if there isn't a 720P version of the movie CP will grab the lower resolution. This is a problem because I have CP set to finish downloading once it grabs a BR-Rip, but I want it to finish when it grabs the 720P version. Maybe have two different BR-Rip qualities....BR-Rip, BR-Rip 720P? Thanks for your help :)

I just registered myself to say thank you :-)

This app is really awesome and a subtitle plugin would make it even better.

Keep up the good work!

@PermaNoob
Will have a look

@draken333
Ill make a checkbox somewhere in settings for "only 720p" or something. Not want to create a whole new quality for this.

@BlackBurn
Thanks ;)

I'm running in some (little) problems.

I added the movie Secretary 720P to the queue. CP finds the movie and added it to SABnzbd, but it won't place the movie to snatched.
When I look in the log, I see the following results:

Code: Select all

18:14:03,477 ERROR [app.lib.sabNzbd] Unable to connect to SAB.
18:13:53,513 INFO  [app.lib.sabNzbd] URL: <cut>
18:13:53,513 INFO  [app.lib.sabNzbd] Sending 'Secretary 2002 720p BluRay X264 AMIABLE' to SABnzbd.
It says it was unable to connect, but the movie is added.
Since sabnzb is running on my NAS and therefore hasn't a very fast CPU (and it has to catch-up a lots of series so it has a very big queue).

Could it be that CP has a time-out which is a bit short?
I also use SickBeard and it seems that this program hasn't any trouble with (slow) responses from sabnzbd.

This also effects Sickbeard, as I seen the same problem. SAB returns a "not ok".
I see if I could create a bigger timeout for connecting to SAB.

Yes Midgetspy (sickbeard) also confirmed that this is probably the reason for the duplicate problem we are having ...
