SABMobile: Manage SABnzbd+ from iOS/Android/Windows Phone 7

Post by fkmtc » September 19th, 2010, 5:13 am

*** The current version of SABMobile is compatible with all newznab websites, check out http://dev.patey.net for more info !!! ***

Hi all,

I have recently developed an application for mobile devices, called SABMobile, which allows you to remotely manage your SABnzbd+.

* SABMobile is available on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad (universal) here:

   http://itunes.apple.com/app/sabmobile/id392506842?mt=8

* SABMobile is also available on Android, on the Android Market here:

   https://market.android.com/details?id=c ... .SABMobile

* SABMobile is available on Nokia 5800 and Nokia N8, on the OVI Store !

   http://store.ovi.com/content/103367

* SABMobile is available on Windows Phone 7, on the Windows Phone MarketPlace :

http://windowsphone.com/s?appid=102820b ... 1a4af2e345

SABMobile allows you to connect to your SABnzbd+ and manage your downloads. You will be able to add or remove files, but also check the speed or pause downloads.

Have several SABnzbd+ servers? Often connect to it from home or work ? SABMobile handles connection to different SABnzbd+ and can manage different connection profiles !

The included web browser will help you choose the file you wish to download, and the smart search engine will allow you to look for files from anything.  New smart search engines can be added dynamically, so you will never miss your good old finder. BinSearch.info is included by default!

Morever, the built-in RSS reader helps you keep track of your software updates. You will be able to add new RSS feeds to SABMobile and be notified of new files to download.

Afraid to open your SABnzbd+ access to the Internet? SABMobile handles both HTTP and HTTPS and is capable of connecting to it through a SSH Server, so it is completely secure!

Of course, all of this is customizable, and the graphical interface has been polished for your greater pleasure.

Finally, SABMobile is available in 8 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Dutch !

Detailed features:
# Handles configuration for several SABnzbd
# Handles several configurations per server (local, https, SSH, ...)
# Works with SABnzbd version 0.5.x or greater
# Connects through HTTP, HTTPS (SSL) or HTTP over SSH
# Works over WIFI, EDGE and 3G
# Lists downloads on your server
# Can pause/resume/remove downloads
# Displays download rates, downloaded size, progress, etc...
# Supports autorefresh (can be disabled if connected in 3G, to reduce internet trafic)
# Can add direct link downloads (if copied from somewhere else)
# Provides a web view to directly add files to download while browsing
# Manages cookies (for authentification websites)
# Supports RSS feeds
# List new files to be downloaded in RSS feeds (1 click download)
# Can search for any file through configurable searchers
# Sober but efficient look and feel
# Available in 8 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Dutch

Great news!!!
I bought myNZB but I do not like it's ergonomics at all... and I've stopped using it.
It'll be nice to have a better soft!

Hi all,

Apple is spending quite some time testing the application (it seems), and it's been over a week now... Hope it goes out soon !

I'll keep you posted !

Giving this a go - not much downloading going on at the moment, but it looks good!

Any chance of a link for nzbs.org in your sample search engines thing?  ;)

Hi,

Yes, I will add this searcher very soon. But as you need to be logged in, I will probably have to release a new version where the user can enter some identification data.

Jérôme

Having some issues with NZBs.rog's RSS.

I added an RSS (for example)  – MP3:  http://nzbs.org/rss.php?catid=5 and then add this string: "Add this string to your feed URL to allow NZB downloads without logging in:". I get the list of items under the RSS tab, when I press the D/L button it switches to the Web tab and it gives me an error "Service Unavailable. Too many requests! You must wait three seconds before trying anything". Which is odd because I get this error on the first item that I press, get it again if I wait the three seconds (sometimes it says 10)". For the heck of it I pressed GO on the Web tab and it takes me to NZBs' login screen but login in produces an error as well?

I have no issues using these RSS feed in MyNzb but do realize that the setup on that application requires more data for it.

What am I missing?

Can I specify what category to use when I add a download? Otherwise I can't use the app unfortunately.

This has stopped working for me outside of my local network - not sure why, it says wrong ip/port but both are correct. Was working fine a few days ago, must be something screwy with my router. Still works fine if I am at home and switch to the internal ip.

Anyway, that wasn't why I was posting. Any way to override the schedule? I pause all downloads through the day at weekends and can't seem to find a way to force SAB to resume? Even though the file is paused on the client (because of scheduling) your program thinks it is downloading it seems, so the only option is to pause? And hitting pause then resume doesn't work?

No big deal, just messing about on a boring Sunday morning really  :)

Actually, thinking about it I did get around to updating my SABnzbd the other day and hadn't tried the mobile thing since. Could that be something to do with it? I was a good few revisions of SABnzbd out of date before updating...
