Post by Heimiko »

The download interval can be changed in the settings,
this is now in minutes, but in v2.0 I've changed this to hours.
so you're free to change this as you see fit.

the idea of putting the name of the downloaded NZB, is a great one!
thanks, will take this with v2.0
however, it's sill a work in progress, and I don't have much time on my hands upcoming few weeks,
because I'm getting married, lots of things to be arranged  ;D
So I really hope I can get it done relatively soon, and otherwise, you guys just have to be patient  ;)

if that name would be used in the sabnzb queue, because when searching for foreign stuff you sometimes get the wrong results (that you don't notice when it just says seriesname S0xE0x) - so it would be better if it would show the result from the search engine and use that name.
on second thought, there's already some code in the auto downloader that should do that, but not yet functioning.
did you notice the %T in the friendly name setting in the auto downloader episode dialog?
that %T should fill in the text which comes after the serie name and episode numbers, as found in the downloaded NZB,
I think this is exactly what you meant to ask.  so this has already been thought of, and will come with V2 ;-)

I don't know why that's happening.   does it also happen when you completely close down NzbSearcher, and start it again?
Yes, I've also tried that.
I also launch a procmon, but nothing special...
I have 2 Networks card and only one is active.

First of all let me say that the autodownloader really works very well. first i was a bit sceptical but now i see that it really works fantastic.

Let's say i like to watch Dr. Mouse ;-) and for this example the following ep Dr.Mouse.S06E16.Abe.im.Suenderrand.GERMAN.DUBBED.WS.DVDRiP.XviD) [01/29] - "mouse.s06e16.abe.im.suenderrand.(2009).dvddubbed.jpg" (as listed by nzbindex)
Right now the autodownloader grabs an nzb according to my search criteria and in sabnzbd it is listed as Dr. Mouse S06E16 - the problem is that this sometimes leeds to wrong results so it would be best if it would be listed as Dr. Mouse S06E16 (Dr.Mouse.S06E16.Abe.im.Suenderrand.GERMAN.DUBBED.WS.DVDRiP.XviD)
That way you can easily spot "wrong" episodes.
If %T does that (or as you said lists "Abe.im.Suenderrand.GERMAN.DUBBED.WS.DVDRiP.XviD" then it is what i would love to see.

Thanks

Joe

Glad that you like it!  I use it a lot myself, therefor I require it to work really well ;-)

This is already fixed/implemented in V2, and I think it is working like you would want this to. although it's working slightly different from what you describe, but I think it's even better, but I'll let you be the judge of that.
I think in a few days I'll post a beta version of V2, so you can try it out.

one big word of caution I can already give, V2's configuration storage has changed significantly, and is no longer compatible with V1. So you should make a screenshot of your currently configured auto downloads, so adding them again is going to be easier.

I dare say V2 is another major step in the right direction  ;D

Made significant progress. V2 is really around the corner.
Will probably post it tomorrow.

Released v2.0.0.0

finally! it's out!
still lots of small things to be done, but I wanted to push it out, otherwise it simply takes me tooooo long.

I already said it once before, but a word of caution to upgraders: V2's config is incompatible with V1, so please make sure you remember your configuration, favorites, auto downloads, etc. etc.

some feedback is always appreciated, hope everyone likes the new new version as much as I do.
have fun!

V2.0.0.0 seems incompatible with my computer (Win7 Pro x86) but works OK on my other computer (Win7 Pro x64)

Hi!

This looks very nice, but unfortunately it has a serious problem: when selecting more than one item from the search results and then clicking "Add to SABnzbd+'s queue", it will only download and add the first item and not all that are selected! This is a serious problem, because most large postings consist of several parts.

On http://www.nzbindex.nl/ I can also select several items from the search results and add them all as one new download to SABnzbd+ and this feature is absolutely necessary. Even if you only download small TV episodes, It'd also be nice to be able to combine many into one download (SABnzbd+ fully supports that and will extract all episodes correctly).

So your program is a nice concept, but unfortunately unusable in the current form. I hope you'll fix that one issue so this could be a great companion program toSABnzbd+.

Regards!

I think its a bit harsh to say that it's unusable in its current form. I haven't used it in the way you describe, although it would definitely be a nice addition, it goes a bit far to put this out as a big no-no.
but because "you ask so nicely", I'll see what I can do. It wont be very soon though (earliest next week somewhere), cause I'm having a very busy schedule at the moment.

weird, what happens exactly when you start it on the computer where it doesn't work?
does it give you a crash report option? (this is newly added, it would give me insight in problems that may occur)

It says: NzbSearcher - CRASH
NzbSearcher stopped working.
Do you want to send a crash report to the developer?

hello

Heimiko you did a great software but I have a problem.
I can not log has SABnzbd +.
It's the same problem as phrogz.
I "Error: Unable to connect to server SABnzbd +".
I'm on windows 7 x64, I tested also on Windows x86 7.
I use the latest version of nzbsearch.
I have no password on SABnzbd + and I have not forgotten to put the API key.

Have you found a solution?

Kind Regards, juliendragz
