Vista Sidebar Gadget

When this is used in windows 7 it gives you the option to expand/shrink the gadget. if you attempt this the gadget freezes.

well its a Vista Sidebar gadget
when i get my hands on a good Windows 7 Release i will try to make ik Seven Compatible.  btw, can you make a screenshot i wonder how it looks on Seven

Another bug on windows 7 is that when you click the folder icon, it opens both the preconfigured folder location and the working directory of the sab.gadget, which in my case is; C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\sab.gadget.

It looks the same except there's no sidebar anymore.

Nice screenshot c0ld! ive never seen my gadget in the new windows 7 sidebar! (The Seven release i got has the Vista version instaid of the new one).

when i have some spare time (i know i say this a lot) i will look in to the bug you reported.

For those of you wondering what i have been up to:

I have been looking for a good MVC Solution for javascript that is purely client side (Needs to be becouse Sidebar Gadgets are not hosted on a website but started directly from the local filesystem).

I tried a few but today i came across Mamoo (http://github.com/tobowers/mamoo/tree/master).
I was blown away by the Video Demonstration!

This should be the way to go for the new Gadget

today i used the new API Features availible in the 0.5.0 Alpha
(this still is an expirimental GUI)

Yesterday i have modefied the view of the new gadget a bit so it would look like the old one

any idea's of how i should display jobs that are extracting?

Yea i was thinking of a colors for the job states
the ETA/speed will overlay the bandwidth graph just like it used to be in the old gadget

when i zoom in to the page in firefox (Ctrl +) the gadget will grow and it would still look good! (only a few images i whould have to resize by hand. so a larger view would be an option

btw: i love the new API it has great new options in the advanced queue and yet it was easy to rewrite me code to use it

the gadget is allmost at the same level as it was before it now supports:
- pause/unpause
- speed graph
-eta
-job / total progress

I allso made 3 new icons to make it look a bit cooler

what do you say? are these icons to stay?

Hi, i realy love your gadget and use it all the time, but with the new release of 0.4.9, the gadget isn't working anymore.
I gues this had something to do with the API Key. Will you be bringing out a new version or update the old one ?

yes the current version of the gadget does not yet work with the API key.
i'm still working on the 2.0 version of the gadget. when it comes out it will support the new API!

as for the old gadget, maybe i can update that one for the time beeing.
ill let you know when i made up my mind

Yes, mine doesn't work either with 0.4.9.

Excellent, worked like a charm, go to your sabnzb page "http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/" or whatever, go to "General" and there you will see a API key, copy this to the Sabnzbd Gadget config, and you're golden.

Most of it seems to work, but i cannot change the download order from the gadget anymore. But then again, i can just wait for the new release.
