Sab 1.0 final on Win10
lately have been nzbs where its not fully completed the unpacking process where you are left with a working media file, and you have to manually intervene, previous weeks ive just been deleting and moved on, but had 3 of them this week.
rename.par2 and
S0XEXX.XXXX file
see an example here http://imgur.com/qfCkFVo
if you manually run the par2 it will rename the file to correct naming.mkv or whatever is the file and your good to go. the largest file could also just be renamed and the par2 doesnt need to be run.
here are a few examples
https://nzbcache.info/nzb/69bb5fe785b9f ... b17.nzb.gz
https://nzbcache.info/nzb/b88511abf25ca ... e48.nzb.gz
https://nzbcache.info/nzb/20fd395573547 ... 50b.nzb.gz
thanks - and apologies if this should not be under bug reports.

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
With SABnzbd 1.1, I downloaded:
first 69bb... : no problem; I got:
clickme.par2
S02E05.1318.mkv
then b885... : no SAB problem. I got:
rename.par2
S02E17.1399 ... is that extension as wanted?

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
i probably shouldnt have included that first 69bb one as it was an older one and they are generally hiding the extension now as well, i was probably using an older sab 0.7 as well when that one was out. sonarr wouldnt have imported it anyway
as no series name.
for the second one, b885, if it ran the rename.par2, the filename would have been The.XXXX.2014.S02E17.1080p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-DRACULAWally731399.mkv instead of S02E17.1399 that we currently end up with
the examples all from this week are all in the style of b885 where the extension is also obstrucated along with the missing series name etc.

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
(Disclaimer: I know little about par2/rar/renaming)
and got
for both downloads.
Do you mean it worked for SAB 0.7.x?

Code: Select all
par2 r clickme.par2
Code: Select all
Target: "blabla.S02E05.The.blabla.Job.1080p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-Coo7Wally731318.mkv" - missing.

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
no it didnt work in 0.7
this might be clearer, when i load the par file in multipar, i can complete the rename process http://i.imgur.com/SXHc7Gz.gifv
i havent tried using the par2 from command line.

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
Ah: with
I do get the desired mkv name.
I need Shypike's expert opinion on this.
EDIT: PS: A post-processing script could easily do this. But as you mention Sonarr, I'm assuming you already have a post-processing script. Am I correct?
Code: Select all
par2 r rename.par2 S02E17.1399

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
theres no need for post processing scripts in sonarr everything is done via API with sab etcsander wrote: EDIT: PS: A post-processing script could easily do this. But as you mention Sonarr, I'm assuming you already have a post-processing script. Am I correct?
Sure i could work around a fix this myself easily enough, but just doesn't solve it for everyone else
its on some pretty popular Shows\WEB-DLs, i didn't post about this until now as wasn't happening much, put already had it 3 times this week..
if you dont think its worth looking at tho that is definitely fair enough it seems limited to 1 groups releases.
Re: rename.par2 not been processed
I have seen posts with "special" rename par2 files in them and even rename tools.sander wrote: I need Shypike's expert opinion on this.
Maybe we should support the rename-par2, but never ever rename tools.
Problem is, there is little consistency and posting habits like that can quickly change.
Personally, I rely on the Sorting feature which usually knows what to do.
The latter is limited to series, doesn't work well for other material.
Re: rename.par2 not been processed
i just wanted to update that still getting downloads coming through with rename.par2 not been processed, 2 yesterday for example, still the same issue on 1.0.1 as above.
here is an example from yesterday
https://nzbcache.info/nzb/7f142dfcf9b0c ... 539.nzb.gz
i also noticed someone else reported the same thing here https://forums.sabnzbd.org/viewtopic.ph ... r2#p104749
cheers
EDIT: forgot to mention, i tried this out in NZBGet to see if it had the same issue with these releases, default settings, default category, this isnt a issue with NZBget you end up with the correctly named+extention mediafile after download

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
rename.par2 isn't processed, because we only use par2 files for verification and repair.
Like I said, there isn't much consistency is this renaming madness.
We may pick up the rename.par2 trick, if it's popular enough.
I've seen multiple methods to restore names, all different.

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
It seems to be getting popular, at least among the webrip crowd. I've been seeing this behavior on almost every webdl release for the last three weeks.
Sonarr doesn't handle post processing because the files end up being named something like "S02E22.1466" rather than .mkv. If I manually rename and pop it into the drone factory folder they are picked up right away, so the main unpack is working fine, it just needs a rename. Maybe the Sonarr devs will build in the rename.par2 function in, or maybe you folks will, but it would be nice if someone would.

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
I've been getting these a lot lately as well, with clickme par2 files and rename batch/shell scripts. In my experience there's usually a small .1 file and a large .2 file. Since I would never intentionally run some random batch or shell script from a usenet post the only solution I've found is to just rename them manually. So far every time the larger .2 file is the MKV which I can just manually rename, and the smaller .1 is an NFO which I can rename or discard. I can't remember a specific example, but I do seem to recall once or twice where the MKV was in a subfolder instead of in root.
Re: rename.par2 not been processed
As in the example above:
this works but it needs the proper file/foldernames
I'm trying to figure out how to do this since my Linux knowledge is very low and need a lot of help from Google.
Currently i'm working on this:
if someone has more knowledge of this, feel free to post your code here
Code: Select all
par2 r rename.par2 S02E17.1399
I'm trying to figure out how to do this since my Linux knowledge is very low and need a lot of help from Google.
Currently i'm working on this:
Code: Select all
-Find par2 file in extracted folder > assign as variable $parfile
-Find biggest file in folder > assume this is the movie > assign as $moviefile
-Run "par2 r $moviefile $parfile"
Re: rename.par2 not been processed
yea i have had 5 this week so far, all rename.par2, all webdls. kills sonarrs automation which is the undesirable part.
i tried a couple more from this weeks in NZBget, no issue end up with the correctly named mkv file.

Re: rename.par2 not been processed
The below post-processing script works for me for the NZB given in http://forums.sabnzbd.org/viewtopic.php ... 52#p105830
HTH
Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash
cd $1
pwd
ls -al
if [ -f "rename.par2" ]
then
echo "rename.par2 found."
# par2 r `ls -1S | head -1`
par2 r *
echo "done"
else
echo "rename.par2 not found."
fi
exit 0
