Hi,
Over past few week I have noticed the download speeds have dropped dramatically. I assumed it was my VPN but after further investigation I have found that if I have Firefox open with SABNZBD the download speed is around 1.8MB/s. If I close Firefox and leave SAB download in the background (view the tray icon) it can get up to 5.0MB/s. As soon as I open the browser is slows back to 1.8MB/s. This is very weird so obviously it has something to do with Firefox.
Does anyone have any idea what is happening?

Re: SAB Download speed slows with browser open
The UI with its periodic polling is a burden on SABnzbd,
at least it is for under-powered embedded systems.
Is SABnzbd running on a normal PC?
Try to reduce the refresh rate. Click on the wrench symbol at the top right.

Same when you use other browser, like Chrome or IE?

Thanks for the responses.
@shypike - I have it running on a Windows Home Server 2011. The refresh rate is set at 1 sec.
I think the best option is to just let it run with the browser closed.
Thanks again
