I've been having on and off issues with SABNZBD running slowly. Multiple times a day the screen goes gray and tells me to wait for SABNZBD to connect.
The PC is running Windows 10 64 bit. It's a gaming rig with an Overclocked AMD Black processor and 16GB of RAM. 4 local drives attached. SABNZBD is writing to a networked hard drive to save it's files.
I have a log, it's too long to post here. Not sure what to do with it.

Running 1.2. I'll try the RC and see what happens.

Re: SABNZBD running slowly/crashing
So far, after a few hours, the RC seems to be more stable.
I'm still getting some errors that seem like permission errors, but I'm sure that they aren't:
Saving \\?\Z:\Downloads\incomplete\Legion.S01E01.720p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H264-RARBG\__ADMIN__\SABnzbd_nzo_skif9t failed
I got this error twice, but the file downloaded and worked properly. I occasionally get an error that it can't see the drive.
Does the software run better when downloading to a local instead of network drive? If so, I can switch to having it saved locally and move the files over when it's done.

Re: SABNZBD running slowly/crashing
Z: drive is external? Incomplete dir on an external drive is bad.Saving \\?\Z:\Downloads\incomplete\
Yes.Does the software run better when downloading to a local instead of network drive?

Re: SABNZBD running slowly/crashing
Temporary Download Folder = Z:\Downloads\incomplete
It works properly, as both of the files I downloaded went to that folder, then moved to my completed folder.
I can switch and have the files downloaded locally first. Thanks for letting me know.

Re: SABNZBD running slowly/crashing
External can work, but would normally always say to do incomplete folder on internal drive.

If so, why then this thread ... ?It works properly
Re: SABNZBD running slowly/crashing
Could you maybe see in the log if there's a traceback for that "Saving X failed" and post it here? It's right below the message in the log.

Re: SABNZBD running slowly/crashing
I mentioned it because the client is giving the error even though the file seems to be working. If it's reporting that something can't be created, I'm trying to understand the problem.sander wrote:If so, why then this thread ... ?It works properly
