Super slow speed on mac

Post by moulson13 »

I’m running sabnzbd 2.3.3 on my Mac mini. I can’t get speeds above 2.4 mb/sec. I have all ports forwarding and can connect to my Usenet network. I use usenetserver as my Usenet server. Also on a separate note I get disconnected and reconnected to sabnzbd every 3/5 seconds. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Sounds like a network/ISP problem.
When you are on your machine, and check the task manager, how much is SABnzbd using?

11% CPU
1.26 GB RAM

Im also getting a " Too Many Connections to server dognzb.cr" Error. Dont know if that has anything to do with the speed but just wanted to note.

Dognzb is an indexer - not a Usenet server. Where have you entered the dognzb details in SABnzbd?
Stuff I like: Apache bash cron DD-WRT Debian DNSMasq Entware FireFox GitHub ImageMagick Kate KDE LibreELEC Netrunner NFS NVIDIA OpenVPN Orvibo-S20 pfSense Python Raspberry-Pi RAID SABnzbd Transmission Usenet VirtualBox Watcher3 XFCE

I haven't. One of the reasons Im so confused about this.
I clicked through all my settings and I only see usenetserver connected to SABNZBD

In Config > Servers, what do you see there? Only usenetserver?
And what host is filled for that server?

Only UsenetServer and no other servers.
Server info:
news.usenetserver.com
port 119
no ssl
my username
my password
connections: 10
Priority: 0

Also I have tried all of the host options:

news.usenetserver.com
news-us.usenetserver.com
news-eu.usenetserver.com

All of them yield the same result a peak of 2.2 MB/second a low of 500 B/second
I have also tried adjusting the connections up to a max of 20 and a low of 1
I have also tried all of the Unencrypeted ports: 20, 23, 25, 119, 3128, 7000, 8000, and 9000

I do think it is something with my router set up but I've looked at it so many times now I can't see any issues with it.
