Is the admin dir written to frequently/heavily?

Post by redec »

Hi all 👋. I've been running sab on a raspberry pi for the last few years, and it has been running great...I have my download directories pointed at an external HDD, so I figured my sd card should not be getting much wear. Today I tested it and was surprised to find my write speed has degraded *significantly* so I want to find what's wearing it down. Does anyone know, does the admin dir see a high number of writes? Should I move that to my HDD too? I do also have sonarr/radarr running on there too, so it's entirely possible they may be the culprits instead...

Well, it is written quite often yes. We keep all the download-bookkeeping there.
So having fast-access is also important for performance. Bit of a trade-off in this situation I guess.
