[Drat, took too long to post, got logged out, so I had to retype everything. Hope I didn't leave anything out...)
I've been using Sabnzb for about a year now on my download-PC (Intel G2030, 8 Gb mem, SSD for Windows 10 and temp folder with 60 Gb free, HDD with 500 Gb free for finished downloads.)
Yesterday I got the notification "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
Downloads had stopped. I restarted the PC, restarted SABnzb, re-installed Sabnzb 3.1.1 over the already installed 3.1.1 (keeping the old settings)
Still nothing.
I re-installed Grabit, and it's downloading just fine, so it's not my connection.
I clicked the "test server" button and it replies: Connection Successful!
Every now and then it looks like it's starting to download, but it's only at 69Kb/s (every time it says exactly 69Kb/s) and then stops again.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Re: Nothing changed: "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
OK, solved?
I read some more but couldn't really find anything.
I added a new NZB, moved it to the top and look and behold: It started downloading again.
I tested some more and it seems that just ONE NZBfile, that was already at 15 from the total of 18 Gb is causing the error.
I moved it all the way down, and all the other files resumed. I moved it all the way back up again, and everything comes to a halt AND I have the error again...
I have no clue why 1 NZB file would cause the connection to be lost...

check your sabnzbd.log for "Traceback"
Re: Nothing changed: "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
I have a whole lot of
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "cheroot server py", line 1267, in communicate
(sorry, can't post an example, it keeps telling me that new users aren't allowed to post links (?)
but I have no idea what that means.

Post the relevants parts from your sabnzbd.log on https://pastebin.com/ and post the URL here ... with spaces around the dots.

Re: Nothing changed: "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
Yes, but what happens before that? Can you post the 10 lines before this traceback?
Re: Nothing changed: "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
Indeed if you could share the whole log, that would be useful. Because this can mean a couple of things.

Re: Nothing changed: "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
Like I said: it looks as if it's only ONE NZB causing this.
Everything is working fine now.
So only if somebody wants to know some more here are, as requested, some lines above where it says Traceback, as requested:

Restarting because of crashed downloader
You say it happens with one specific NZB? If so, can you share that NZB via pastebin, and post the URL here (or in a PM to me)
Re: Nothing changed: "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
This is indeed bad, if you can reproduce it please share the NZB and maybe enable Debug logging so we can fetch more information what is going wrong.

Re: Nothing changed: "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
It's a nsfw VR clip, so download at your own risk
yiwWtuQwizRsPBM3QKPp
pw November2020
I use NZBDonkey on Opera to download it.
First it downloads 6 mb, and then it downloads the movie. Not sure how that works, I guess SabNZB or NZBDonkey takes care of that.
It downloaded fine up until 82%. Now it won't download any further.
Other NZBs that I added in the same way still work, and SABNZB doesn't crash.

Re: Nothing changed: "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
Thanks.
It downloads OK for me. That is ... there is a traceback, but apparently not a problem for SAB on my system.
This is with Direct Unpack set to OFF. I will retry with it set to ON.
EDIT
Checked with Direct Unpack ON, and still no problem.
So I can't reproduce.

Re: Nothing changed: "Lost connection to SABnzbd.. In case of SABnzbd restart this screen will disappear automatically"
I re-downloaded the NZB, and this time it downloaded just fine, without errors.
Unfortunately I already deleted the version that caused the problems, so I can't reproduce the error either.
Thanks for trying to help
