Try setting Sabnzbd to run on your computers local ip, i.e 192.168.0.2 - (Config > General > Host)
Restart.
Set nzbStatus to: http://192.168.0.2:8081/sabnzbd/
If it's still not working, set nzbStatus to: http://localhost:8081/sabnzbd/

I couldn't get it working either until that last step. Interestingly the info in nzbStatus still remained 'http://192.168.0.2:8081/sabnzbd/' - despite changing it.

I tried your suggestion, but sadly it didn't work. After I set the SABnzbd to run on 192.168.0.2 and restarted it, the relative entry had been changed to "localhost". nzbStatus was already set to http://localhost:8081/sabnzbd, so I tried the other option, but still it doesn't work.

The only thing that makes me suspicious about the failure is the fact that I'm running the addon with Firefox 3.1 Beta 3. I had to make the nzbStatus addon compatible with this Firefox version using another addon (MR Tech toolkit).

Is 192.168.0.2 the actual IP address of your computer? I just used it as an example.

Looks like you have a user/pass supplied in nzbdstatus, however you don't have it setup in sabnzbd.

Remove the user/pass from nzbdstatus.

switch, I think you've cracked it! Like xdxdx I used to have a username and password entry in the SABnzbd section of the configuration. By removing it, now nzbStatus works.

The blank entry for username and password must be a new development/requirement, because I had the username and password with version 1.0.6 and had no problem then.

However, having fixed this problem, I would now ask: What is the provision for username and password used for in nzbStatus?

Thank you for the assistance.

P.S. @lost101. I don't think 192.168.0.2 is my computer's IP address after all. But it's a moot point. Thank you anyway for the assistance.

Hey I'm using 3.5b4 and sabnzbdstatus won't load..  I made sure to find the 1.0.7 version and it still said it wasn't compatible.  Is there any special trick I need to use to get it to work?  thanks

The version thing got all weird on Mozilla's server, I think I have it fixed now, try and install it off mozilla again.

Alternatively, use MR Tech's toolkit. It's a Firefox extension that makes non compatible addons, compatible.

I'm having trouble using the 'Send to SABnzbd Icon' on Newzbin since i upgraded to the latest version of sabnzbd and nzbdstatus - that is after i started using the api-key. Whenever i press the yellow (normally green) download icon on Newzbin nothing happens. Anyone having same problem and found a solution?
