SABnzbd 0.4.11 doesn't work properly with Python 2.6.
You need to use either 2.4 or 2.5.
There will be no Python 2.6 compatibility until 0.5.0 is released.

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.

but in my case (with similar problems getting newzbin integration to function correctly), my QNAP NAS runs Python 2.5.2
But I'm not seeing any QNAP users on the QNAP forums experiencing the problem, hence me assuming it's a sabnzb issue (perhaps with my installation/config) rather than a QNAP (available python version) problem.
