If you use on MyNZB, you probaly dont want to install OS 4 Beta 1 (developer release) on your iPhone. MyNZB does not load on iPhone OS 4 Beta 1.

You probably have to forward port 8080 on the router to your MAC ip address.

not sure if you have got this fixed, but seems to me that your error is that you are telling mynzb to use https AND connect to port 8080 (while you have set the sabnzbd to use port 9090 for https). First try disabling https and leaving it at port 8080. Does that work?
Also, I would suggest you get it to work in safari on the device. URL would be something like:
http://xxxx.kick-ass.net:8080/sabnzbd/

hope that helps

Just tell me what i have to fill in Sabnzb and at mynzb im getting crazy up here..

What i have is the next:

Sabnzbd Host: xxxxx.kicks-ass.net
Sabnzbd Port: 8080

Api Key: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

No Username
No Pass

no https

when i want to connect like the settings above i get a at the adressbar the next: Http://xx.xxx.55.2:8080/sabnzbd  so i dont se my dns at the adressbar but i see a ip adress.. is this correct or wrong ?

Image

When i fill my own IP adress at Sabnzbd Host i get the next error..

SABnzbd needs a free tcp/ip port for its internal web server.
Port 8080 on xx.xxx.84.122 was tried , but it is not available.
Some other software uses the port or SABnzbd is already running.

Please restart SABnzbd with a different port number.

Open a Terminal window and type the line (example):
/Applications/SABnzbd.app/Contents/MacOS/SABnzbd --server 85.150.84.122:8081

If you get this error message again, please try a different number.

Program did not start!

Ahh, you have an iPad, excellent news!

I've been playing with MyNZB for a few hours (well, along with Sabnzbd) and it's a slick little app, well done!

That said, have you given any consideration to improving the NZB search function? I see that as the real value behind the app: Searching for NZBs remotely, and them blasting them to the Sabnzbd server for download. When it works, it's a wonderful tool.

Here are a few suggestions I thought I'd share:

Possibly consolidate NZB search support for Newzbin and NZBMatrix, as they both seem to have the necessary APIs to use with Sabnzbd? I've yet to receive a response from TvNZB, and when you go there directly, the page looks like a parked domain or something? Perhaps you can allow users to add and remove NZB indexes in the settings section?

Also, is there any way to increase the number of search hits with NZBMatrix searches? I'm not sure why that's so limited?

Lastly, what about adding RSS links for searching? Most indexes have them, and it seems like a simple way to add support w/o requiring too much additional work.

That said, I'm very pleased with the app. I'm am definitely looking forward to an iPad version. Some more advanced search capability would complement the increased screen real estate of the iPad rather nicely ;-)

ToeCutter,

Thanks for the suggestions, TvNZB seems to be playing up alot :(, as for the search hits for NZBMatrix the api is limited to 5 hits back so I can't do anything about that unless NZBMatrix increase it.

Hi,

I have just setup dyndns on my router and can access sab through this xx.dyndns.com:2012/sabnzbd but when I enter xx.dyndns.com as my host in the myNZB settings I am unable to connect to host.

Is there something I am missing or is this an unsupported feature?

** Got is sorted, removed the http:// and it works a charm. **

Can't wait for the ipad version... and my iPad!!

Hey myNZB,

Not sure if you tested it yet but when I try to use the program on my iPhone which I already put on the beta of 4.0 it is crashing after the app opens briefly. I know 4.0 is still in beta for a while so I don't expect anything right away. Just wanted to let you know.
