Is there a trick to getting categories working on RSS feeds in 0.5.3 running from src on linux? I have the RSS feed and categories created. I have the category assigned to feed. SAB downloads files from the feed but fails to assign them to the category in the queue.
I have to manually assign category.
Anyone else seeing this problem? It used to work for before upgrading from an older version.

I'll look into this.
Meanwhile, try setting categories on the individual filters.

Re: 0.5.3 RSS feed categories not working
Where are you getting your feeds from?
If they are from nzbmatrix.com, that site will provide categories too.
If you set a feed-level category, it will be ingored, because the nzbmatrix category will override the feed-category.
Only if you set a category at the filter level, the nzbmatrix category will be overridden.
This is valid for any feed that is able to provide categories.

Re: 0.5.3 RSS feed categories not working
Is there a link you can provide how to use the nzbmatrix categories (where this feed is from?). All I want is for all the download from this feed to complete in a specific dir as opposed to the normal download directory.
Re: 0.5.3 RSS feed categories not working
You might want to ask the nzbmatrix people to put that list on their website,
instead of having people guessing at it.
This is the table we have to use because they're too lazy.

Re: 0.5.3 RSS feed categories not working
I don't understand, you mean that now, the rss provider's categories overrides the feed-level categories we set up ?shypike wrote: Where are you getting your feeds from?

I am using NZBS.org as provider and have the same issue..

Re: 0.5.3 RSS feed categories not working
I'm having assigned categories to rss feed issues as well, I think it is using the last category in my dropdown list instead of the one which is specified.
Re: 0.5.3 RSS feed categories not working
Again: only a filter-level category will override the indexer's category.
The indexer's category is converted to a user category.
Priority of categories is like this:
1. user-category as set in matching filter.
2. if previous "default", converted indexer category
3. if previous empty, feed-level category
