"Is empty, skipping" errors after upgrading

Post by Xax »

Last night I upgraded from 0.6.1 to 0.6.4, and since then I'm getting "is empty, skipping" errors on any NZB files, including known-good NZB files. I uninstalled sabnzbd completely and re-installed, but the issue persists.

Provider is astraweb... there's some speculation in chat that it may be a provider issue. Any ideas?

When I launch an NZB, SAB will show "20 warnings" and the file won't show up in my download queue. If I click on the warnings, I get a list like this:

2011-06-08 11:02:20,408 WARNING: Empty NZB file [...].nzb
2011-06-08 11:02:20,405 WARNING: File [...] (1/37) is empty, skipping
2011-06-08 11:02:20,404 WARNING: File [...] (1/39) is empty, skipping

Is this with newly entered NZB files?
Did you check the content of these files?
Where do they come from?

We've been getting a lot of reports in the irc channel of astraweb users with this specific error or just no download activity in general.
They did take their EU servers offline last night for a spell but I'm not sure it's connected since it should be back up by now and this would be a weird error to get from it.

I don't think Astraweb delivers the NZB files.
If they're off-line you cannot download, but you can still get NZBs from index sites.

Okay, so I again tried another source, nzbmatrix, and the NZB I downloaded worked just fine. Download started, no problem. I typically use nzbsrus, so perhaps there is an issue going on with nzbsrus?

[UPDATE] It's now working fine. I'm not sure if it's related (I wouldn't think so), but I installed the SABConnect++ extension for Chrome, and now SAB is working normally.

Hello everyone!

I use SABnzbd on a Mac OS X Lion, together with Sickbeard. Every once in a while i get the following error:

Code: Select all

WARNING: Empty NZB file download.php?id=SOMENUMBERS&username=USERNAME&apikey=APIKEY&scenename=1.nzb
Is there a way to tell SAB to retry theses failed NZB after xx minutes?

What happens is that the API from nzbmatrix those not have the full article details when sickbeard searches it!

Thanks

No there isn't.
Also it frequently happens that these NZB file remain empty forever.
