Unknown encoding. Download failed out of your servers rtn

Post by splicer »

I have been having these two problems for the past week and a half, i have gone through other threads that have similar problems but no solution has been found.

Whenever i start downloading a post i get "Unknown Encoding" warnings. The "Download failed out of your server retention" is the other issue. My usenet provider is Supernews with retention time of over 1200 days so i do not get why i cannot download posts that are even a day old.

I am using 0.6.15,I tried using an older version 0.6.6 but still got the same problems. OS ubuntu 11.10, i installed sabnzbd using the software center, then reinstalled it using the repository after i had switched back to 0.6.6 and found the same issues.

"Unknown encoding" probably means it's a non-standard encoding, so not the usual yEnc.
Email one of the failing NZB files and I'll do a quick check.

Thanks for the NZB, but I cannot find anything wrong here.
I downloaded on Windows and Ubuntu 11.04; downloads fine on both. I even used Supernews...
I really have no idea what's going on on your system.
