See my config below.

BUT: why use readfreenews? I tried them for you, and of a 7 days old post, everything seems to be missing.

What does http://test-ipv6.com/ say about your IPv6?

Code: Select all

[[news.readfreenews.net]]
username = ""
enable = 1
name = news.readfreenews.net
fillserver = 0
connections = 3
ssl = 0
host = news.readfreenews.net
timeout = 30
password = ""
optional = 0
port = 119
retention = 0

Thanks, doesn't work and I don't understand why.
I remember you that I'm in Italy, maybe doesn't work for Italian ip address

Code: Select all

10/10	for your IPv4 stability and readiness, when publishers offer both IPv4 and IPv6
0/10	for your IPv6 stability and readiness, when publishers are forced to go IPv6 only
no ipv6 available for me.

Getting ipv6 is easy, even if your ISP doesn't provide it. You just need a 6to4 tunnel broker, and there are many free ones. There's a bit of configuration involved, but not too bad. I highly suggest having a router running tomato firmware if you want to make it global for your entire network, tomato makes it ridiculously easy to configure.

In any case though, I have tried the listed ipv6 providers, and none seem to work.

6to4, teredo & gogo6 sometimes block port 119 so get a proper tunnel from he or sixxs if you dont have native.

I have Ipv6 but I can't connect to weathergirl-ipv6.tele2.net.
The problem is user and pass.
Sabnzbd fill the fields user and pass with the same user and pass that I use for xsusenet and Is impossible to delete them. If I test the server I obtain:

Code: Select all

502 weathergirl-read.tele2.net: Access denied to your node - [email protected]
Is possible only change them but weathergirl-ipv6.tele2.net don't want user and pass filled. When I delete Username and password I obtain

Code: Select all

Connection successfull!
Is necessary that fields are blanks. How Is possible with sabnzbd? When I try to save blank fields then automatically are filled!

Another thing:
news.just4today.net: when I try to connect to it I obtain:

Code: Select all

(10061, 'Failed to connect: (10060, "(10061, \'Connection refused\')") [email protected]:119')
Why? I see that it should be work now...

SABnzbd works very well with blank username and password.

If you say it's automatically filled, it's probably your webbrowser doing that for you.

So ... solutions,
- use a different webbrowser just to fill out the weathergirl entry in SAB
OR
- after filling it out (with username/password), stop SABnzbd, find and open sabnzbd.ini, and change the values of username and password for weathergirl to "". So username = "" and password = ""

Clearing your webbrowser's cache (and some more things) could also help

Ok, it works now! Firefox has saved password, after deleted it all works now.
For the other question? Why just4today doesn't works for me?

See http://www.appelboor.com/newsserver.html stating that just4today does not work.

Some digging reveals why:

Code: Select all

sander@R540:~$ host news.just4today.net
news.just4today.net has address 127.0.0.1
sander@R540:~$
So ... just4today is pointing to localhost = your own machine. So I guess they gave up?

Ok but at this moment I see:

Code: Select all

news.just4today.net 	(Looks good) 211 1 2 2 alt.binaries.boneless group selected (pseudo article) 	25 	IPv4-only
But If I try to test connection with sabnzbd I obtain:

Code: Select all

(10061, 'Failed to connect: (10060, "(10061, \'Connection refused\')") [email protected]:119')

No IPv6 address detected [more info] >:(

Yesterday I had an ipv6 address

----------
EDIT:
Really strange I've solved my problem adding a new connection in my Windows 7, now I have again ipv6 address but about my DNS I see:

Code: Select all

Your DNS server (possibly run by your ISP) appears to have no access to the IPv6 Internet, or is not configured to use it. This may in the future restrict your ability to reach IPv6-only sites. [more info]
I've tried to change my default DNS settings (obtain automatically DNS server address) with google ipv6 DNS ( 2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844) without success.
