Hey everyone,
So, I've been with Giganews for four years now.
GN is pretty good, I'd guess my completion rate is about ~90%.
At 30.00/month they're getting a little pricey for me.
So, what's everyone else out there using and having had good luck with?
Thx!

If you like Giganews' service but not the price, look at Supernews. Same company, same newsfeed, just capped to slightly less retention (like, two weeks less), for a third of the price.

Cool, thanks inpheaux!
After doing some more research and testing, here's what I ended up with:
Supernews: 11.99/month (I also have Supernews' EU server set as a backup)
Tweaknews 10Mbit: - 7.00/month (Set as a backup)
VPN with Private Internet Access: 3.33/month
That's about $22.30/mo, which is $8.00/mo less than Giganews,
I also grabbed a 100 GB block account from Blocknews, and set their US and EU servers as backups.
Now, I much more diversified and my VPN traffic is not being logged.
Guess the only other thing to look at would be another US based provider to use as another Primary (non-backup) server...

Re: Time To Go Usenet Provider Shopping
You could have saved $2/mo with the Supernews affiliate special I linked to in the previous post.
Edit: Also, a Tweaknews secondary may be overkill. All I've needed for quite awhile now is Supernews, not even a backup block from Blocknews.

My bad inpheaux, on not clicking thru the link you posted, thx tho.
Mind if I ask, are you using Supernews' EU servers as primary or backup?

Re: Time To Go Usenet Provider Shopping
I don't bother with a backup at all. Your mileage may vary.
