[Mac OSX 10.5] After 1 day: no auto-pickups

Post by g00fy »

Hi,

After 1 day letting sabnzbd+ run on my server it doesn't seem to pick up any more nzb's on my desktop (the pickup folder). Also after a restart it doesn't seem to pick any up anymore (I guess the program keeps a history somewhere). Removing all configurations except the ini file imports the nzb after another restart without a problem.

What could be the issue and what could I do to help you to debug it?

Greetings

Check the logging. If you set logging to "Info" level, more information about
what SABnzbd does with the NZB files will show in the log file.
Info on processed files is kept in the file watched_data.sab in the cache folder.
If you remove that, SABnzbd will see all files as new.

Where is the "watched folder" located? On the server or on the desktop?

I checked a little more: when it doesn't pick up files anymore, I also cannot add them manually anymore. Restarting the application will not pick up those files, but at least I can add them manually again.

The sabnzbd folder is under "~/.sabnzbd"... The Desktop is under "~/Desktop", so 2 different folders.

Logging is set to "Info" already. What should I search for so I can post it here? Those files are quite huge ;)

Code: Select all

me@noname:~/.sabnzbd/cache$ ls -l *.sab
-rw-r--r--  1 me  staff    11 Dec  4 10:23 bytes7.sab
-rw-r--r--  1 me  staff  2547 Dec  4 10:23 queue7.sab

The file sabnzbd.error.log is huge and it should be empty.
Very suspicious.
Just zip all the logfiles and email it to [email protected]

Hi,

This error still occurs with the latest version. There is nothing in the logs to indicate whatever is stopping the auto-pickup. Not even in debug mode.
CPU usage stays normal, so it's not an endless loop somewhere...

Version: 0.4.7: still the same. The (new) files on my desktop get added to the watched file, but they are not added into the queue. This happens on my MacOSX when I leave the program on running overnight (to be sure: 24h).
I need to shutdown sabnzbd, delete the watched file from the cache and restart and than it picks up the nzbs...

Could please someone look into this?

BTW, nothing in the logs indicate any problem.
