Are you on the package that downloads the latest version from Git? Others report similar things, maybe: http://forums.sabnzbd.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20751
If so, we made an update 3 days ago that could break the downloading in the way you describe. A fix has just been merged, so if you run this version you should try to get it to update from Git.

@Safihre This solved the problem for me. Up and running again...., now trying to get the stable version 1.02 through the wrapper ....
