did you try to insert the ip. in stead of newshosting?, ping to it to see the ip. and open port 119 if thats the port that newshosting uses

yeah i can ping it, telnet into it, everything

if i load the nzb in grabit, it downloads fine.  ive tried the ip, different ports, SSL and non SSL (SSL thru SAB config, and thru stunnel) they all work except in SAB.

the weird thing is, i see the connections actively established in my router, so i know SAB get the correct dns lookup, and contacts the server.

hmm, exact the same as i had, exept for the network.

strange error, hope they find the damn bug.

well after i wrote this, i tried again with grabit, and it had issues connecting, then all of a sudden sab started downloading just fine, im thinking this may be a newshosting issue.  ive opened a ticket with them, ill keep you posted.

found the problem, its newshosting.  they are having intermittent connection issues, no ETA on a fix :/

it was just bad luck that it worked in grabit when it did.  Thanks for helping
