What do you do with all the extra's if you normally don't have a folder per movie?
Have to find a way to ignore the extra's. Will check it out, thanks.

Just updated to the newest version, 32d5294. It is now say that i have no movies added.
I had a look in the data.db file and i can still see all my wanted, snatched and downloaded movies in the movie table.
Has it changed where/how it stores it data? I dont see why this happened.

What OS? The data.db should be in same directory as the CouchPotato.py

Re: CouchPotato - Automatic Movie Downloader via NZB & Torrents!
Apparently my storage/naming scheme is unusual:
movies\namethe (year)\full.scene.release.name.ext
This way, when I finally get around to watching what I've downloaded, if there's a problem with the quality or something I can far more easily replace it with a different release without having to externally track which release I actually have. As well, the scene release name usually includes everything that I can select from CP's renaming options as well as vid/aud codec info, etc.
"Most" scene release's filenames match, but a small percentage craft an 8.3 filename out of the group name and movie initials. So in my perfect world, I'd have CP not rename the file unless it's 8.3 and if it is use the full scene release name, then rename the folder and move it. Any possibility there?
Also, I've tried the trailer search for existing movies three times now, it works great for the first third of my collection but stops without any errors messages somewhere in the H's.
And finally, the much deserved pat on the back for some great work.

Windows running the python version, my previous one is.RuudBurger wrote: What OS? The data.db should be in same directory as the CouchPotato.py
I have just noticed that a new data.db has been created two levels above the CouchPotato.py file.
CouchPotato is in here: "C:\Python27\Scripts\CouchPotato"
While the data.db its reading is in here: "C:\Python27"
I replaced the data.db in "C:\Python27" with my original and its now showing what it was before update.
I guess its looking in the wrong place all of a sudden, but im not sure if its my system or the program.

Re: CouchPotato - Automatic Movie Downloader via NZB & Torrents!
This is an awesome (!) addon! Works like a charm on my ubuntu server. I have one feature suggestion\request though.
When adding a movie using "1080p" quality settings, often it will download an old 1080p HDTV or HDDVD release, When I would prefer the Bluray 1080p version of the movie.
Is there any way I could include the word "bluray" to the 1080p search? And if not, would you consider adding 720p bluray and 1080p bluray to the quality settings? or maybe a checkbox in custom quality saying "bluray only".
Good work on this AWESOME addon!
Edit: "Bedankt" from a fellow Dutchie!

@asmodean:
I gave the Bluray a score boost in latest git. Should be picked more often now

Re: CouchPotato - Automatic Movie Downloader via NZB & Torrents!
Just setting this up, looks great! I seem to have had a slight issue though...
Running Sab, Sickbeard and now Couchpotato - I pause any downloads in the day and just schedule for overnight. Last night it paused in the middle of quite a big download as usual.
I just installed CouchPotato and set the Renaming options to my usual Sab download folder. Happened to look at the log and saw and big long list of:
"11:04:51,924 INFO [app.lib.cron.cronRenamer] Removing file E:\Downloads\Usenet\In Progress\filenameblahblahblah.r20"
It does appear to have deleted my in progress files. Not sure why? Have I done something wrong here? I did tick cleanup to remove leftover files, but assumed that would only relate to leftover files from Couchpotato downloads such as nfos etc?
Thanks for any help! Program looks great!

Re: CouchPotato - Automatic Movie Downloader via NZB & Torrents!
You temp folder is the same as you "completed downloads" folder?
For best results, you should make sure SABnzbd downloads you movies to a subfolder inside your completed download folder. Thats what the categories are for.
It will, on cleanup, remove everything inside this folder that is not a movie or subtitles. It clearly states: "Remove leftover files/folders in the Download folder".

Re: CouchPotato - Automatic Movie Downloader via NZB & Torrents!
No, they aren't the same folder... I do use categories, and movies are moved to z:\movies in my case...
I think what confused me was the fact that it asks for the Download folder and then for the folder where the files should be moved to.
No big deal, I can redownload what I lost easy enough... I have changed the download folder to z:\movies now, but not entirely sure what I should put in the 'where movies should be moved to' field now though? z:\movies again or leave it blank?

Re: CouchPotato - Automatic Movie Downloader via NZB & Torrents!
Download folder: "Your SABnzbd movie download folder"
Movie destination: "Where the movies should be moved to"
Your download folder is different from your movies folder I suppose? So it has to move the files from your "download directory" to your actual "movies directory".
Does anyone else don't get these descriptions? If so, what should they say to understand?

All 100% clear to me !RuudBurger wrote: Does anyone else don't get these descriptions? If so, what should they say to understand?

Don't worry about it mate, it's probably just me.RuudBurger wrote: Download folder: "Your SABnzbd movie download folder"

My confusion came (comes) from the fact I already have the categories feature with SABnzbd move the files. So SABnzbd downloads to my temp directory, then moves it to my movies directory. So once it is in my movies folder I don't want CouchPotato or anything else to move it again, just rename it.
So I assumed it was going to rename it in the temp folder, then move it to the movies folder (at least I think that is what I thought lol).
And you're right, it does clearly say it will remove leftover files/folders from the download folder, but I assumed (wrongly again) that it just meant it would clear up its own mess (what I would call leftovers from CouchPotato), not just delete the whole folder.
No worries anyway, I have just turned the rename feature off and am redownloading what I lost overnight tonight ;-)
