Mountain Lion notification center

Post by Jared_ »

Hi there,

First off - love SABnzbd!

When Mountain Lion is released, will SABnzbd support the notification center? I'd love to see a list of my completed downloads in there.

Cheers.

Jared.

No, we only support Growl. So if Growl knows how to reach Notification Centre...
AFAIK, only software from the AppStore can communicate with NC.

There is an app called hiss http://collect3.com.au/hiss/ that takes growl notifications and put them in the Mountain Lion notification center. I can't get it to work with sab though :(

I wonder if that is true. I am currently developing an application, which I haven't even added certificates to yet (or set a developer profile), but sending notifications to the Notification Center is no problem.

I also copied the application to another Mac and ran it there, also no problems there. I am not completely sure how to do it from a python script, but from within objC this wasn't a problem.

PS. Tweetbot for Mac also does it, without being in the Mac AppStore (still being in beta and all)

This functionality is coming relatively soon:

0.7.4b1 Release Notes
[...]
- OSX Mountain Lion Notification Center support
[...]
It'll be in the compiled OSX builds once we release.
