I am sure this question has been asked a lot but I need to ask it again because I'm confused as heck.
When sabnzbd is saying this message: API Key incorrect, Use the api key from Config->General in your 3rd party program

1) I'm not sure about the API key so do I need to get a new API key here at sabnzbd website?

2) is the API key that I need in the config properties and is it suppose to match whats on your site in my preferences?

3) now regarding the error above: what does that mean? Does it mean use the api key from sabnzbd that was given to me or does it mean go to sickbeard and get it or go to nzbmatrix and get it. I'm so lost with that error message and confused.

sorry for the silly questions but I've had to reinstall everything and now I have these problems.

Any program or website wanting access to SABnzbd's API needs to use the API key.
This key can be found on SABnzbd's own Config->General page.
There are two:
The normal API key gives full access.
The "NZB" API key only allows upload of NZB files, but nothing else.
The latter is used by some websites to send NZB files to your local SABnzbd
(provided you have set it up for external access).

ok so when it says use the api key from config, in your third party, does that mean: grab the api key from sabnzbd config and use that api key in the other programs like sickbeard etc?

Not sure how to resolve this post, so consider this fixed..I think..thanks for your help.

(btw, you cannot put your api key in sickbeard)..so not sure about that..but I'll just continue to figure this out........... ;-)
