New Releases
New Releases
Is there somewhere a timeline for future version releases. Or are versions just released when they are ready.
Re: New Releases
I'm not in a rush, but just wondered.pair of dimes wrote: In a rush? You can try contributing.

By the way I would like to contribute in any way I could. Except as I understand, you have to know some stuff about python, isn't it?
And moreover, I would like to develop a new skin, but do I need to know python for that too??
Re: New Releases
To change the code you need to know/learn Python.
If you know Java, Python is not difficult to lean.
But getting to know the structure of SABnzbd takes some time,
some parts are quite complex.
For skins you don't really need Python, but Java-script is unavoidable.

Re: New Releases
We are couple of non-paid volunteers who spend part of our free time on this project.big2o wrote: Is there somewhere a timeline for future version releases. Or are versions just released when they are ready.
You cannot expect us to stick to any time schedule (jobs and families impose enough of those already).
For that reason we will not make any promises.
Currently we're completing the 0.4.5 maintenance release.
Work for feature release 0.5.0 is also being done.
The issue tracker shows what the (expected) content for the releases will be.
Uncommitted though.

Re: New Releases
Actually I don't expect anything more from you guys, I think you are doing a great job. But was just wondering if there was any kind of planning scheme.shypike wrote:We are couple of non-paid volunteers who spend part of our free time on this project.big2o wrote: Is there somewhere a timeline for future version releases. And if I manage to get to understand python I would ofcourse be ready to help.
Keep up the good work.
