SABnzbd slow DL Speed on Debian NAS Sharecenter DNS 320

Hello there!
As the title tells, I have a big download speed problem with my dlink DNS-320 NAS Sharecenter. I have installed fun_plug with Debian Squeeze and SABnzbd is running well. My download-speed slows down from ~ 1,3 Mbyte/sec to ~200 Kilobyte/s in under a minute. I tried several configurations like changing the number of max. connections and changed the size of the article cache. Nothing helped. My usenet provider can't be the problem, i tried every file also on my Windows-PC and got a max. speed over 2,5 Mbyte/s (stable over hours of testing).
The connection of the device can't be the problem neither, because I have tested that too. I can download large files at 2,5 Mbyte/sec. Copying files over the network, I reach about 9 MByte/sec.

It seems to be a problem with SABnzbd but I don't have a clue what to do. It would be very helpful if someone could help ;-)

SABnzbd needs quite some resources
Other than that, set an article cache of 128M in Config->General
and don't set too many server connections.
How much memory does the NAS have?

I googled your dlink DNS-320 NAS Sharecenter, and this seems to be the spec:

800 MHz
128MB RAM

Wow ... SABnzbd on a 128 MB RAM system ... I didn't even that *could* work.

Anyway: you won't get great results with SABnzbd on such a system. Run SABnzbd on your PC, or try 'nzbget' on your NAS.
