Trouble with downloads

I recently installed sabnzbd on a box running Xubuntu and it doesn't seem like anything will download unless I change it's priority to "Force". I even tried setting the priority for my sickbeard category to Force but I'll still check it and have several downloads waiting all sitting on high until I manually change them to Force. Any suggestions?

Unpause SABnzbd.
The square at the top right of the queue should be yellow. If not, click it.

So, at first I felt very stupid as it was indeed paused, however, after more experimentation I've found that it seems to be randomly pausing itself, any ideas?

Does it also pause when there's no UI active?
No schedules set?
No warnings?
Otherwise, set logging level to "Debug" on the Status page and inspect the end of log file
once it pauses again.

That's exactly what it does, I shall try your suggestion and report back.

That would be a good reason to pause.
Check your access rights.
