Downloads marked as succeeded but nowhere to be found

Post by nzbtuxnews »

Hi,

I have noticed that recently SAB finishes jobs, mark them as succeded and completed in the History queue (the white star in the black circle), but the downloads are nowhere to be found. The completed folder is empty (along with its subfolders Movies, Music, etc..)

Details of such a job that completed but somehow lost:

Code: Select all

Completed	2013-04-15 17:53:15
Name	********************************
Size	1.0 GB
Status	Completed
Category	*
Path	/mnt/lhost2-mass-storage/sabnzbd+/complete/Others/ABCDEF123456/********************************.mp4
Download	Downloaded in 8 minutes 30 seconds at an average of 2.1 MB/s
23 articles had non-matching duplicates
Source	http://***********/newznabplus/www/getnzb/*******************************************************
Unpack	[***********] Unpacked 1 files/folders in 1 minute 3 seconds
Repair	[***********] Repaired in 1 minute 46 seconds
But if I go in the folder "/mnt/lhost2-mass-storage/sabnzbd+/complete/Others/ABCDEF123456/", its totally empty.

Where has the job gone?? This happened for both jobs started from the RSS feeds as well as jobs started manually from Newznab (send NZB to SAB). I think it may have happened also with SickBeard's jobs but I am not sure..

Im using SAB:

Version: 0.7.x
Uptime: 8d
Config File: /var/www/htdocs/SABnzbd/sabnzbd.ini
Used cache: Cached 0 articles (0 B)
Parameters: /var/www/htdocs/SABnzbd/SABnzbd.py -d -f /var/www/htdocs/SABnzbd/sabnzbd.ini
Python Version: 2.6.4 (r264:75706, Dec 5 2009, 21:18:28) [GCC 4.3.3]

Set logging to Debug on the Status page.
Download a job and after it completes download the log file from the Status page.
Go to the end of the file and search back for your path.
The log is likely to give you more info.

OK I think everything is OK. I did not check for bad releases, but reading the logs as you suggested, I came to realize that the jobs were in fact .exe files being posted as videos...

Having set SAB to delete .exe files, nothing was left after unpacking the job.

All is fine I think...

EDIT: I wonder if it would be safe (generally speaking for SickBeard, Headphones and Couchpotato) to set +Delete for every categories in SAB???

Why not?
The rar and par files will only be deleted when the payload verifies properly.
Your deletion of EXE files is also a sensible safety measure, the last thing you want is executing EXE files from Usenet.

I bought a new computer and imported sabnzbd config files from the old one to the new. However, my drive letter changed on the new computer from E:/ to D:/. I downloaded a bunch of stuff, and they all "completed" pointing to the E:/ drive which no longer exists. A search for them comes up empty. It took a long time, they must be somewhere. I have since fixed my config but don't want to start all over if they are one my computer somewhere. Any suggestions?
