Help running Popcorn Hour update script

Post by SukkaFoo »

First off, please excuse my supreme newb-ness, but my knowledge of scripting is, put simply zero.

I have a linux script that I run to update movie and series info on my popcorn hour. Is there a way that I can get this script to run on completion of a download, and if so, how do I do it?

does this script take any input, like the path to a folder, or path to the file to add? Or perhaps you navigate to the folder, and then run it from there?
Or perhaps you just run it, and it has a base folder and does a recursive search from there?

It can either take a folder as input or alternatively (as I currently have) the path is hard coded and I simply run the script and it knows where to gp

just what are you updating on the PCH?  I have one and I'm not aware of the ability to update movie and series info.  I'd be very interested to do so though.  Do you mean using myihome?

Sounds like the script would need only minor adjustments to work with sabnzbd

this seems a simple question, so I may have misunderstood

you go into settings/folders and tell sab where your scripts are stored, then go into settings/categories and say what scripts you want to run for each category
