Getting past ERRNO 61

Still troubled by errorno 61: (connection refused).
I'm using freeNAS 9.1 and have Sickbeard setup and SABNZBD setup as well.
I can log into Sick's jail and have a mount from my /mnt/media/tv to local jail's /usr/tv and that populates all my titles and Sick's webpage shows them all just fine.
For SABNZBD I did multiple mounts in the jail as /usr/incomplete, /usr/complete, /usr/watch, and /usr/sabnzbd. These are put right into the config page and for the plugin I made sure my gateway is there in IPV4 gateway and Google's public DNS 8.8.8.8 is there in DNS.
I have SABNZBD's API key in Sick, and Sick knows to request a download thru SABNZBD, but SABNZBD keeps erroring out connecting to usenet servers.
I've rotated a few over the last few weeks, and have properly joined, gotten user/pass setup and entered that into SABNZBD but wether on 119 or SSL I continue to get errno 61 which is a refusal.
My understanding is that if SABNZBD has my gateway and a public DNS then it should be able to call out from it's jail to public servers, no?
